Hi, I’m Brad.
For the past 15 years, I’ve been deeply involved in building businesses from the ground up. My journey started with a simple goal, learning how to create a business that could grow both online and in the real world through brick and mortar retail.
Like many people who start their first business, I didn’t begin with all the answers. What I had was curiosity, a willingness to study what works, and a strong belief that with the right systems in place, a small business can grow into something meaningful.
Over time, that curiosity turned into a long learning process. I spent years studying how successful businesses operate, how they attract customers, and more importantly, how they keep those customers coming back.
That last piece turned out to be one of the most important lessons of all.
Many business owners focus almost entirely on getting new customers through the door. While that’s important, I discovered that long term success often comes from something simpler, staying connected with the customers who already know and trust your business.
As our retail operations grew, both online and in physical locations, I began experimenting with different ways to communicate with customers outside of the store. I wanted a reliable way to share updates, introduce new products, and let people know when something exciting arrived in our inventory.
That’s when email marketing became a key part of our business.
Using tools like AWeber, I was able to create simple email campaigns that allowed us to keep customers informed about what was happening in our stores. Whenever we added new products, launched a promotion, or restocked something customers loved, we could send a quick update and bring people back through the door.
Over time, that simple approach made a real difference.
By combining online sales with our physical retail locations, our businesses have now sold more than $10,000,000 in products. That milestone is something I’m incredibly proud of, not just because of the number itself, but because it represents years of learning, persistence, and steady growth.
Building a business from the ground up teaches you a lot about what really matters. You quickly learn that complicated systems often create more problems than they solve. What works best are practical tools that help you stay organized and communicate clearly with your customers.
That’s one of the reasons I believe strongly in keeping things simple.
The business world can sometimes make marketing feel overwhelming, especially for small business owners who are already juggling inventory, staffing, customer service, and day to day operations. My goal is to show that email marketing doesn’t have to be complicated.
In many cases, it’s simply about staying in touch.
Sending a quick email when new products arrive. Letting customers know about something interesting happening in your store. Sharing helpful updates that remind people why they liked your business in the first place.
Those small touchpoints build relationships over time.
Beyond business, I try to live by a few values that guide how I work with people. Honesty is at the top of that list. I believe that trust is the foundation of every good business relationship. Alongside honesty, I also value being dependable and loyal, whether that’s with customers, business partners, or the people I work with every day.
Those values have shaped the way I approach business for the past decade and a half.
Outside of work, one of the things I enjoy most is sports. I’ve always loved following games, watching teams compete, and seeing how discipline and teamwork can lead to success over time. In many ways, building a business reminds me of sports. Progress rarely happens overnight. It takes patience, consistency, and the willingness to keep improving.
Today, I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with other business owners who are building something of their own. Whether someone runs a small retail shop, an online store, or a growing local business, email marketing can be a practical way to stay connected with customers and keep relationships strong.
If you’re interested in learning how to set up simple email campaigns, share updates about your products, and create consistent communication with your audience, you’re in the right place.
Building a business takes time, but with the right tools and the right mindset, it becomes much easier to stay organized, communicate clearly, and continue growing year after year.
